About this portable version
This version of Portable Avira AntiVir Personal 8.1.00.331 (Virus definitions file 7.00.6.111 -03/09/2008) was created with Thinapp, is fully portable and can be updated. It does not conflict with resident (active) protection software as it runs from a sandbox.
Before launching the application for the first time, place the executable “Avira AntiVir Personal.exe” within a folder of its own. I suggest you create a folder “Avira AntiVir Personal 8.1.00.331″ (the downloaded archive will extract to such folder by default).
Launching the executable will create a folder called “Avira AntiVir Personal” within the host folder”. Such folder – also called a sandbox – will hold data related to the application, including definitions updates, logfiles, aso.
